In this three week workshop PMG’s Preservation Team will lead you in creating your own 24” x 16” mosaic panel using the Zagar Method of mosaicking.
Week 1: Create a “blob” with colorful grout and glaze tiles to use in your mosaic
Week 2: Learn to break tile and cut mirror, plan your design, and place tiles
Week 3: Grout your mosaic and take your masterpiece home
Discover this freeing and versatile art form with staff that have trained with PMG creator Isaiah Zagar and are responsible for maintaining the mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.
