Please come and join us for a celebration of female song; of female vocals; &, of female voices...!! Taking back the narritive of many songs, re-interpretating classic themes, & switching the viewpoint... a new wave of strong & diverse Scottish female voices are beginning to be heard,including those of Rachel Gaughan, Sylvia McGowan, & Marina Rolink.

With a subtle mix of Trad/Folk, singer/songwriter, Jazz/Blues & Contemporary; guitar, piano, & gorgeous vocals; We have the variation, different stylings, & distinction, of three stunning + beautiful newer voices to Edinburgh Folk Club. There will be something for everyone i am sure...

So we hope to welcome you to our intimate, friendly, diverse, & safe space for an absoltely wonderful night with these Three Quines: Rachel Gaughan, Sylvia McGowan, & Marina Rolink (of vocal group "Alma": Danny Kyle Open Stage Winners 2025).

NB This is three mini gigs... each artist with roughly half an hour to entertain you all.
We start at 8pm (doors at 7:30pm), with a main Intermission, where you can head to our wee liceansed bar (run by the Ukrainain Community Centre), & take part in our festive, awesome wee raffle with some super prizes !! Usually we finish arounf 10:30pm (c.11pm at the very very latest), then often members/regulars/committee head to Sandy Bells (or the Penny Black, previously known as the Black Bull) for tunes, refreshment & banter !!
