On September 23, 1984, the British apocalyptic war drama 'Threads' was first released on television.
40 years later, ‘Threadsfest’ is a punk / hardcore music event that celebrates the remarkable fact that a global nuclear war never happened, while simultaneously raising awareness of the terrifying future that such a war still presents.
Lineup includes: BURNING FLAG (Halifax - groove-filled metallic hardcore), ZERO AGAIN (Bristol - moody hardcore punk), SHREDS. (Sheffield - 80s-style hardcore), AFFLICTED (Cumbria - street punk), and TCCL (Leeds - love letter to hardcore). Five bands for five quid!
