About this Event

Event Description

What happens when we bring together things that modern life often leaves little room for: intentional breathing, time in nature, storytelling, and genuine moments of presence?

Join us for a guided outdoor gathering where we'll explore how simple breathing practices can influence our experience of stress, attention, and well-being.

This is not a fitness class, therapy session, or lecture. Instead, it's an opportunity to slow down, spend time outdoors, and learn practical, evidence-informed tools for grounding yourself and relating with the world around you.

Whether you're curious about the science of breathing, looking for ways to navigate stress more effectively, or simply wanting a meaningful hour in nature, you're welcome here.

Why Breath and Nature?

Most of us spend many of our days responding to the demands of modern life. Yet, research continues to suggest that both intentional breathing practices and time spent in natural environments can support well-being, stress regulation, and attention restoration.

Breathing is unique because it sits at the intersection of body and mind. It happens automatically, yet we can also consciously influence it.

During this gathering, we'll explore that relationship through direct experience rather than theory alone.

What We'll Explore

Together, we will:

• Learn how breathing patterns can influence our physical and mental state

• Explore simple, evidence-informed breathing practices

• Spend intentional time in a natural environment

• Share stories about nature and breath

• Develop greater awareness of the relationship between breath, body, attention, and emotion

• Share a supportive and welcoming community experience

No previous experience is necessary.

You don't need to know anything about breathwork, meditation, or mindfulness to participate.

What to Bring

• A yoga mat, blanket, towel or comfortable place to sit or lie down

• Water

• Loose and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather

• Curiosity

• Sunscreen if sunny

Note: Should weather not be conducive to our session, it will be re-scheduled to a later date with a better meteorological forecast.
