Thomas Urwin, who writes songs that illustrate a picture of life in County Antrim and N.Ireland, released his debut single Man In The Arena through Strap Originals on 26th July https://found.ee/ManInTheArena . The single is the first song to be lifted from Thomas’ forthcoming EP Born A County Antrim Boy https://found.ee/BornACountyAntrimBoyEP released September 20th.
The EP was recorded at The Albion Rooms in Margate and was produced by Peter Doherty (bass, lead guitar and backing vocals on ‘Bangers & Beers’) and Jason Stafford. The full Tracklisting is:

On signing to Strap Originals Thomas says “Last March I saw on Peter Doherty’s Facebook that he was touring in Germany.I went to the Hamburg show at the Mojo Club. As luck would have it I spotted Peter outside the venue and walked up to him and asked said, ‘Peter any chance of opening for you in Belfast?’ He give me a sideways glance, thought about it for a second, and said ‘You can open for me tonight. If you’re any good you can open for me in Belfast.’“
