The Institute will have a launch conference for the Thomist Circles Project in early 2025 at the Angelicum, which will set the orientation for the Institute of InterreligiousRelations.
The objective is to introduce into the academic world a transition from a previous generation and methodology of interreligious dialogue and set a more consistent norm in the Catholic Church of:
1) analysing other religions from an explicitly Catholic and theological point of view.
2) understanding other religions well on their own terms without compromising a commitment to Catholic truth claims.
3) testingmodes of dialogue that are on the one hand authentically missionary and on the other
hand amenable to representatives of other religions (privileging, again, the use of reason as the primary means of engagement).
