Thomas Edison Film Festival: Wednesday May 8, 7PM trustee’s Theater
The Thomas Edison Film Festival is coming! Formerly known as the Black Maria Film Festival, the Thomas Edison Film Festival is a touring festival of innovative and “fiercely independent” short films from around the world. The program includes animation, documentary, experimental, and narrative.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a deep dive into the diverse word of short film.
This year’s lineup includes Will You Remember Me, a SCAD senior project film from 2023 by Will Dowler and Julia Moran.
The festival tours to dozens of host institutions around the world that curate a program from the hours of winning entries. SCAD has been hosting this festival since 1999.
This is an Oscar qualifying festival for short documentaries.
FREE with SCAD ID, $8 general public.
