🍂🧹 THE THISTLE & THREAD SOCIETY: THE BROOM MAKER’S GATHERING 🧹🍂
Dear Readers,
October seems the perfect time to gather around the table and make something a little wild, wonderfully old-fashioned, and entirely our own.
For our October meeting of The Thistle & Thread Society, we’ll be learning the art of making our own decorative besom-style broom.
This isn’t about everyone leaving with the exact same craft. I’ll have a collection of beautiful materials for you to choose from so you can create a broom that feels completely yours.
We’ll work with natural materials and decorate our brooms with dried herbs and botanicals, ribbons, twine, charms, bells, and other little treasures. We’ll also talk about some of the history, symbolism, and folklore surrounding brooms and their long connection to hearth, home, protection, and autumn traditions.
And because this is Thistle & Thread, there’s no need to hurry.
We’ll put on some good music, make a pot of tea, settle around the table, talk, laugh, and spend an October evening simply enjoying the pleasure of making something with our hands.
No crafting experience is needed. I’ll provide everything you need and walk you through the process from beginning to end.
🍂 Wednesday, October 21
🕯️ 6:30 PM
🧹 $49 per person
🌿 All materials included
🫖 Tea included
✨ Beginner friendly
And a little extra treat for our Society members…
Everyone attending the workshop will receive 10% off Whiskers & Wings retail that evening. So you can make your broom, sip your tea, and do a little autumn shopping while you’re here.
Spaces are intentionally limited so we can keep this a cozy, hands-on gathering. If an October evening spent making brooms around the table sounds like your kind of night, I’d love to have you join us.
Come make something beautiful, meet a few lovely humans, and take home a broom worthy of October. 🧹🍂🌙
The Society awaits.
