American post-rock greats This Will Destroy You are marking their 20th anniversary this year, announcing a 2025 tour of Australia, performing their 2008 self-titled album in full for the occasion, along with songs from their expansive catalogue.
The band will return to the country for the first time in 10 years, playing shows in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Known for their destructive live sound and influential brand of ambient, melodic instrumental rock - dubbed ‘doom-gaze’ in recent times-, the band recently announced they would be splitting into two touring lineups, each led by one of their co-founding guitarists, Jeremy Galindo and Christopher King.
This Australian tour lineup will be led by Jeremy, and will also feature fellow Texas musicians Ethan Billips (Body Tape, Blank Hellscape), Johnnie McBryde and Nicholas Huft (Dismissal).
They’ll be joined by Perth instrumental trio Yomi Ship, fresh from a European tour alongside Plini, and performing at ArcTanGent Festival in the UK; and popular Sydney emo quartet Mowgli, on the cusp of releasing their debut album in 2025.
