This That & the ODDer things presents the Rumble of the Bumble !!! It is our shops anniversary and in our appreciation we would like to begin a whole new addition to Ypsilanti event going.

The Rumble of the Bumble will be held on Friday September 2nd, 2022 this will be our first annual event. Watch it as the street will come alive. Sticking together with First Fridays of Ypsi and the Festival of the Honeybee our mission is to work together to cross pollinate our city and have many fun activities featured on both Washington st. and Cross st. We encourage participants to walk the city and engage in everything awesome. Washington streets closing includes informational discussions with a big aim towards kids, youths, teens and family. A new teen and adult live painting contest, along with great music and DRAG!!

The Rumble of the Bumble is an event that helps support businesses and artists, performers, athletes, dancers and more all in the street of Cross st. Depot Town, YPSILANTI.

There will be a larger than life honeycomb interactive art mural being painted live by Curtis Wallace of BeeCreative studio Ypsi and Robin Trevino Geiseman live street artist of Dearborn. We welcome your own touch by allowing YOU the public to paint flowers on the lower part of the mural yourselves.

Characters will lighten you on your quest for happiness. Visit Dr. BeeGood and tell him of problems he'll prescribe you answers for. Dollar games will make you holla with glorious prizes, SALES and Merchandise tables from leading local businesses, artists booths, Bee related swag, LIVE professional wrestling and top it off with a biggity old DANCE PARTY with love from ypsiGLOW and so much more.

Let it be known some Bumbles will be coming out to Rumble! It’s a sight you won’t want to miss as grown men* dressed in bumble bee costumes get on with it in an 18x18 wrestling ring.

It is advised to bring your own chair, a rumbling of the bumbling will be amazing!

*These are professional athletes who are trained to fight please do not try this at our event or at home.

Wear a costume of any pollinator or flowering sort and enter into our Festival of the Honeybee Rumble of the Bumble costume contest!
