For the past 49 years, it has been the mission of The Stewart Community Home to provide safe, long-term housing and quality, personalized care to those who need it most. It is the largest long-term care facility of its kind in the southeast, serving those who suffer from some form of mental illness or physical disability. Without The Stewart Home, many of our residents would find themselves on the street, incapable of taking care of themselves.
Because of you, your compassionate spirit, and your generosity, we are able to continue to fulfill our mission. We currently house over 60 residents. Your donations help provide food, shelter, medical assistance, and other needs for those who can’t provide for themselves. In addition to the basic necessities, The Stewart Community Home also gives residents a sense of family, a sense of purpose, a sense of community, and a sense of security. All of these gifts are TRULY invaluable.
This year, we are hosting our annual “This is OUR Home Luncheon” to be held on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, at Green Island Country Club. Our theme for this year’s luncheon will be “The Art of giving”. We are honored to have Gilbert Miller delivering the keynote address.
Our goal for this event is to raise $85,000. It will be our only major fundraiser for all of 2025.
As always, we are humbled by your dedication to our mission and your faith in our ability to see it through. It is through your kindness and compassion that everyone who works at the Home is able to do God’s work for those who need it the most.
