Running time: 2 hours 10 minutes

THIS IS MERSEYBEAT
The Sixties Sound of Liverpool!
‘In 1960s Liverpool, There’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin on in a backstreet beat cellar called the Cavern Club. This is Merseybeat, the sixties sound of the city, from the depths of Number 10, Mathew St. The ‘British Invasion’ starts here and during the next two years ‘Merseymania’ rules the world!’
This vibrant and exciting show comes straight out of the Cavern Club featuring the world famous club’s resident Merseybeat combo, The Shakers and their authentic 60s ‘Maximum Merseybeat’ sound. The stars of the show, guest artists as Cilla Black and Gerry Marsden, keep the show swingin’ as Liverpool Everyman/Playhouse actor Paul Codman (Cavern of Dreams, Be Bop A Lula) as the ‘host with the most’ keeps the story movin’ while keyboards from Toni Baker (The Dakotas, The Merseybeats) enhance the hit making years. It is very much a love letter to Liverpool and the sixties sound of the city, as every song in the show was performed by a Liverpool artist during the Mersey Sound era.
