On Sunday, June 23rd, the comedy showcase This Is Casually Happening will be returning to The Golden Hoosier. The showcase was recently recognized in St. Louis Magazine for their November 2023 Issue alongside with other local showcases. Doors will open at 7pm, with the show beginning at 7:30pm.
Headlining will be St. Louis based comedian Purdy Bee, who is a main contender in the comedy circuit of St. Louis. Having been seen at Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, Funny Bone St. Charles, and independent venues in the Midwest, Purdy Bee also hosts her own podcast "The Bee Sting."
Special guest Paul Cereghino is an actor, vocal and piano coach, and is also an up and coming comedian in St. Louis. He has been seen performing in venues such as The Gaslight Theater with the St. Louis Actors' Studio, in addition to commercials and print.
Featuring on the showcase are comedians Brendan Olson and Emily Zell. Brendan has been seen performing at venues such as the Funny Bone St. Louis and St. Charles, Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, Brendan has also produced his own shows at venues such as the former Night Owl in South City, and also hosted his own podcast, "Coping." Emily Zell has performed in St. Louis' own Flyover Comedy Festival and also performs regularly in St. Louis and the Midwest.
Mollie Amburgey is the producer of the show and host of the podcast Casually Mollie, which includes interviews with comedians and entertainers both locally and around the country. She just performed in the Middle Ground Comedy Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana. You may have heard her interviewed on the Big 550 KTRS and St. Louis On The Air with St. Louis Public Radio when discussing St. Louis Comedy!
