Milwaukee ... we're shooting for the moon! ? ?
The Third Ward Moon Festival is landing in Catalano Square Friday, August 7, through Sunday, August 9.
Get excited for myriad lunar activations and themed offerings like:
? A 23-foot illuminated sculpture, Museum of the Moon, created by UK artist Luke Jerram that has captivated more than 30 million people worldwide. Created using high-resolution NASA imagery and paired with a surrounding sound experience, this installation brings a detailed and immersive representation of the moon into the heart of the neighborhood
? Live music (with plenty of space to dance ?) from local musicians like De La Buena, Dak DuBois, Wisconsin Space Program, Mama Digdown's Brass Band, Marcya Daneille Collective and more;, beats by DJs Kenny Perez, Ku Mays and Dori Zori; and lunar-themed performances from Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet and more
? Kid’s activities with Neto Atkinson and Louie Brewer, featuring cyanotype demonstrations and painting; live painting and wood carving from JK Art House; and moon-themed chalk art by local artists
✨ A Moonlight & Mindfulness Market featuring relaxing chair massages from @goodlandmassage, floral trucks, permanent jewelry and fine line tattoos, libations from HoneyBee Sage, tarot and astrology readings, plus tintypes by Margaret Muza
