Spend Labor Day weekend at the Third Ward Art Festival in Milwaukee Wisconsin! Free and open to the public the 12th Annual Third Ward Art Festival in partnership with the Historic Third Ward Association will showcase the work of 200 juried artists from around the country in a variety of mediums including ceramics fiber glass jewelry mixed media paintings drawings photography and more! In addition to the incredible artwork available for purchase attendees will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats and can participate in the “Start to Paint” on site painting classes! Fun for the entire family the festival features an interactive kid’s art tent with face painting sand sculptures and other activities as well as designated “Kid Friendly” booths where artists welcome children into their space to learn more about the art-making process. Live music on two stages great food and drink options from neighboring restaurants a variety of festival food vendors and beer and sangria sold by the Historic Third Ward Association add to the fun weekend vibe! With an array of nearby cafes pubs theaters galleries and unique shops surrounding the festival guests are sure to enjoy an entertaining weekend full of art and culture! The festival is wheelchair and stroller accessible and there is plenty of nearby parking. Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and friendly. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth and if the piece is sold 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner which is the Chicago Furniture Bank.
