Join us on Tuesday, May 17th at 8:00 am at the Havana City Center, 326 West Market Street, Havana, for a presentation surrounding the newly created Heart of Illinois Regional Port District and how that can benefit us as a community. The Illinois River is the heart and soul of our community, and we want to do all we can to support the growth and development along the Illinois River. TransPORT Board Chair, Dan Silverthorn and TransPORT Water Resources Infrastructure Director, retired USCE Colonel Robert Sinkler will speak on the IL Waterway, of which the Heart of IL Regional Port District, is now a federally recognized Port Statistical Area (PSA). IL WW is also part of the Corn Belt Ports that include the Upper Mississippi and Missouri Rivers PSAs.
