Looking for a free family activity in Salt Lake City? Look no further than the Utah Museum of Fine Arts! Admission to the Museum is free every third Saturday of the month, and there is always an art-making activity for the whole family!
This extra special Third Saturday is in collaboration with Red Butte Garden and Arboretum! The Garden will host a scavenger hunt this June, inviting guests to find and learn about trees that both grow at Red Butte and are featured in UMFA’s collection. Stop by the Garden to explore before or after creating your own treescape artwork.
While exploring art at the Museum, ask yourself, did the artists depict trees realistically, or more fancifully? While at the Garden, ask yourself, what trees catch your attention? Why? Explore with an artist’s eye and create your own treescape artwork!
