My sculptural practice is rooted in the exploration of shapes and their intrinsic qualities, drawing inspiration from mathematical equations as foundational elements. Embracing Allen Ginsberg's notion that "things are symbols of themselves," my work is grounded in pure mathematics. Mathematicians found the shapes, I flesh them out. My work focuses on the object itself, transcending specific symbolic meanings and the familiar to invite viewers to engage with pure form. I encourage viewers to join me in my aesthetic journey to appreciate the beauty and complexity inherent in the interplay of light, texture, and spatial relationships within the sculptures. I prefer the unfamiliar to the familiar, the avant-garde to the kitsch and a visceral response from the viewer rather than an intellectual interpretation. Ultimately I would like to create something that contributes to the overall body of human knowledge in a sculptural form.
