About this Event

This is the historic debut of Third Coast Symphony, an organization dedicated to performing in communities all through Chicago and Chicagoland, bringing exciting classical music programming to audiences everywhere. Third Coast Symphony is a professional ensemble and it is offering this concert free of charge to the Chicago West Side Community.

Aaron Copland - Appalachian Spring Ballet for 13 instruments

George Walker - Lyric for Strings

Intermission

Darius Milhaud - The Creation of the World

Camille Saint-Saens - Carnival of the Animals with narrator Penelope Walker

Vic Muenzer and Charles Taylor, conductors

Built in 1869, First Baptist Congregational Church is a national landmark and historic church on Chicago's west side. All are welcome to come and enjoy this free concert!
