Please let us introduce ourselves! We are Ember Academy, a small nonprofit private school serving students with Autism and related disabilities ages 5 to 21. At Ember Academy, we guide our students to their fullest potential through specialized education with a focus on social and daily living skills. It is important to us to foster a family-friendly environment that starts in the classroom and expands into the community.With that said, we are reaching out to tell you about an exciting opportunity! Our school will be holding its third-annual lemonade stand fundraiser to raise money for field trips and experiential learning. This may include planning a meal to serve to others that has nutritional value, shopping for items needed for that recipe, and then following the recipe to create the meal. Field trips are essential because they allow our students to practice their skills and build confidence in a variety of settings. Additionally, our students learn in different ways; this model encourages academic enrichment by using a multi-modal approach.
We have been fortunate enough to have ventured into many local attractions and experiences throughout the last two years. Some of our favorites include: Legoland, Medieval Times, Andretti Thrill Park, Orlando Science Center, the King Center, and so many more.
With your help, we would be fortunate enough to make life and socially significant changes for our students!
