Thinking of Family-Making? In-Person Information Session

Thinking about Family-Making? It can be difficult to know where to start. This evening information session aims to make the fertility system more transparent, to give some tools on how to negotiate it, and to be a jumping off point for informed decision making on family-making of all kinds.

The approach: clear, evidence-based information on the main NHS and private fertility treatment options, and non-biological family-making options, followed by an open floor for questions, and opportunities to get tailored, bespoke information for you.

The facilitator: queer, informed and non-assumptive trained doula and antenatal educator who works in fostering and kinship care, and has personal experience of the fertility system. 

The aim: an easy to access, relaxed one-stop-shop space with a friendly guide; a starting point for your family-making journey.

The after-care: access to an existing queer community in Kinhood Fertility - an active, supportive Whatsapp group for queer people thinking about family-making, and who are trying to conceive. Kinhood also has a main Whatsapp group, lots of local sub-groups, and in-person meet-ups, for queer people who are pregnant and who have children. Lauren also offers fertility debriefing sessions, and doula-ing through your fertility or family-making journey.
