Join Art Spark Texas for our summer workshop series that combines the worlds of Art and Design with nature. In these weekly workshops participants will explore and create in a variety of different genres, including Graphic Design, T-shirt Design, Eco Art and Natural Dyes. Each class will provide students with a strong introduction to the topic as well as engage them in projects to workout their ideas. Come grow your art and design skills with us each week, in East Austin!
* These workshops are designed for artists with disabilities, ages 16+.
$35 per week, or $130 for all 4 weeksWeek 1 - June 9: Graphic Design with Natural Elements: Learn graphic design and illustration techniques to create silkscreen stencils.Week 2 - June 16: Natural Dyes with Resist: Learn fabric resist techniques, then create a natural dye bath for t-shirts and scarfs.Week 3 - June 23: Design with Nature: Eco-printing. Learn printing techniques that incorporate flowers and plants to make beautiful compositions. Then bring those compositions to life with stop-motion animation!Week 4 - June 30: Screen-Printing and T-Shirt Design: Learn silkscreen techniques to print your own t-shirts designs.
