About this Event

This workshop is for anyone who's intrigued by the title. If technology is the first thing that springs to your mind when you think of innovation, but you want to know if there's more to it, this is for you. If you are looking for ways to solve problems in your workplace creatively, please join. If your manager has advised you to think outside the box, this is for you. If you are that manager, this is definitely for you!

We are all creative. Over time, some of us grow out of it. Fortunately, creativity is a skill you can practise and master, a muscle you can strengthen and flex at your will. In an era where adoption of technology is often mistaken for the only way to innovate, come join me to understand how a systematic, research-based approach can lead to some ideas that are hidden in plain sight.

Here are a few questions we'll address:

What is Systematic Inventive Thinking?
How to break the biases that hinder creativity?
Is there a structured approach to ideate and innovate?
How do I innovate in my field of interest by harnessing the power of patterns?
About the speaker
Pavan Kumar Arasappa is a freelance innovation consultant and facilitator. He has facilitated workshops for organisations and education institutions in Hong Kong and India on creativity and innovation. While he employs Systematic Inventive Thinking and Design Thinking to solve problems creatively and help unlock the innovation potential in teams, he also draws inspiration from various other interests and life experiences. He works alongside Dr. Jacob Goldenberg in teaching Creativity and Innovation for Marketing across renowned global institutions. He believes if you look closely and connect the dots, you'll be able to see a common thread or a pattern across many past innovations in your field of interest. The pattern can be understood and framed as a template to innovate for the future. He equips his audience with the skills to achieve this and solve problems creatively.
