About this Event
If you are an independent coach or consultant, you are your brand.
But creating your brand is virtually impossible to do by yourself.
Start 2026 by getting help on how to start thinking about your business more as a brand.
In this interactive workshop, I will explain why a brand is so important and how creating a brand for your business will help you to connect with more of your ideal clients.
Who this workshop is for
Independent coaches and consultants who are struggling to attract enough of their ideal clients.
Why I run this workshop
Over 70% of start-ups in the UK don’t make it to their tenth birthday. I find that statistic shocking. This is me using my experience and expertise to do something that will help improve that statistic.
What to expect from the workshop
You won’t come away from this workshop with a brand, but you will start to understand how thinking like a brand will increase the clarity and confidence that you, and your clients, have in your business. And how that clarity and confidence will give you the courage to show up in a way that attracts more of your ideal clients.
The interactive exercises during the workshop will help you to start the process of thinking about your business differently – as a brand.
Doing this in a sociable peer-group environment will also make you realise how important external perspectives are, to help you create more powerful messages.
Come along expecting to give and receive valuable feedback!
This is also a great opportunity to network with other independent coaches and consultants facing similar challenges to you.
Here is how the workshop was described the last time I did it:
“Thank you for delivering a really fantastic session today. It was really impactful and engaging session with clear, valuable outputs for all that attended. After the work you did, I recognised that many of the businesses described what they did better than I had ever heard them do previously.”

About Giles Etherington
Giles Etherington is the founder of Brand Satellite, a multi-award-winning brand consultancy helping purpose-driven small business owners think, look and act like big brands. Giles was shortlisted for Creative Entrepreneur of the Year Scotland at the 2025 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
His work gives entrepreneurs and professionals the clarity, confidence and courage to show up with impact.
Giles’ career can be condensed into three stages.
The Corporate Creative: Spending 11 years at J. Walter Thompson in London (part of the world’s largest advertising network), Giles created famous and award-winning advertising campaigns for some of the UK’s best-loved brands, including Andrex, BT, Nestle and Kellogg’s, before moving to JWT San Francisco, during the height of the dotcom boom.
The Creative Nomad: Freelancing across Europe, with stints in London, Amsterdam and Athens, Giles worked with multi-national clients including Heineken, Mitsubishi, TDK and Volvo. He helped set up a new advertising agency in Amsterdam to manage the Volvo pan-European account and a new advertising, design and marketing agency in Jersey, where he was the Executive Creative Director for 12 months. Giles also became Creative Director of a marketing agency in Edinburgh, which was part of Bob Geldof’s Ten Alps media empire.
The Strategic Consultant: Since 2013, Giles has been running and growing his own brand consultancy, to focus on his passion for brand creation, branding and brand communication. He has condensed all his knowledge into a brand creation process that works for pretty much any small business.
Giles works with purpose-driven small businesses that haven’t created a brand for their business yet, or aren’t making the most of the brand they have. He gets far more pleasure working directly with a small business owner and increasing their turnover by 300%, than he did working with layer upon layer of a marketing department in a global brand, increasing their market share by 0.5%.
