Things Hidden, a collaboration between two Richmond artists: composer Gina Biver and choreographer Starr Foster, is a work for vocalists, dancers and audio that explores the concept of mimetic desire - the work of French polymath, historian and philosopher of social science, Rene Girard. Mimetic desire as group think, imitation, unanimous violence and then scapegoating as a way to bring about peace and resolution are all ideas rife with human emotion, tragedy and power.

In seven short movements, Things Hidden is a miniature  "Dance Opera" -- the dancers sharing the stage with sopranos, and the full sound being completed by the glorious violin, ‘cello and pedal steel audio track.

With a performance by Fuse Ensemble Arts Duo Angela Murakami, clarinet, Nancy Jo Snider 'cello performing contemporary classical works by living composers.
