On May 8th, our dance floor welcomes two artists who helped shape the current form of contemporary techno.

• For her Croatian debut, Thermal welcomes BLANKA.
BLANKA is a Berlin-based electronic music producer, DJ, and co-founder of Room Trax — a label and event series connecting Barcelona and Berlin through focused explorations of sound and community.
Working through a consistent and uncompromising approach, BLANKA has emerged as a clear and dependable presence within contemporary electronic music, firmly establishing herself in the European techno landscape.
Her sonic language is precise and instinctive, built on minimal structures, raw edges, and controlled intensity, extending naturally from the studio to the dancefloor. Her performances span key institutions worldwide, including Berghain, FVTVR, FOLD, Basement, Bassiani.
• And for the second time, the outfit behind Thermal hosts a true Los Angeles techno legend.
Developer has been shaping the global techno landscape since the early 1990s. Over the decades, he has become one of the most respected figures in underground techno, known for his relentless work ethic, hypnotic rhythms, and uncompromising sound.
As the founder and curator of Modularz, Olympian, and Developer Archive, he has played a critical role in defining the modern techno aesthetic, championing raw and forward-thinking music. His sound, rooted in the American warehouse tradition, resonates globally, with appearances at Tresor, Berghain, Khidi, Under Club, and Radion.
With releases on key labels such as Axis Records and Mote Evolver, and as a former member of Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, Developer remains a central pillar of the global underground techno movement.
• To lead us into the night, for the first time at Thermal, we have a young local force — Vid.
Vid is a techno DJ based in Zagreb, known for his hypnotic tension, crafting deep, atmospheric, and space-driven soundscapes built for immersive dance floor experiences.
Drawing influence from Amsterdam, Detroit, and Berlin, his sets blend deep atmospheres with relentless percussion, creating a sonic, ritual experience for late-night floors.
