Pre-Conference Workshop for Classroom Teachers and Ministers: September 12-16, 2026, we will provide a pre-conference track: “Stony the Road We Trod . . . : Exploring Alabama’s Civil Rights Legacy, for educators and ministers. The Workshop is modeled after the National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks Program and includes field studies to key sites of memory in Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery.
