About this Event

We’re back for our fourth year! This day-long celebration is dedicated to the saint, goddess, matron of poetry and healing and will feature women in performance and spoken word. Cathy Geagan, Consul General of Ireland Vancouver, will introduce our keynote speaker Bridget Brownlow from Saint Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Bridget was presented with the Irish Presidential Distinguished Service Award for Peace, Reconciliation and Development for her work in Northern Ireland in 2021.

Program:

11:30 AM - Registration / hospitality coffee & refreshments

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Harpist Rebecca Blair

12 noon – 1 PM – Brigid cross-weaving with Deidre Keohane

1 PM – 1:15 PM – Welcome & blessing by an Indigenous Elder

1:15 PM – 1:45 PM – Storytelling with Philomena Jordan

1:45 PM – 3 PM – Irish Women of the Diaspora Performance reading
