The class is split into two comprehensive sessions:
Part 1: Requirements & Expectations (Presentation): We will dive into what it takes to become a therapy team, covering the essential requirements, handler responsibilities, and the specific behaviors expected of a therapy dog.
Part 2: Hands-On Evaluation & Prep: We will work directly with you and your dog to practice the 10 essential elements of the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, focusing on real-world control and manners.
Official Testing Included
At the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to take the official CGC test right then and there if you feel your dog is ready!
