About this Event

Join us for a therapeutic art experience

In this introductory workshop led by art therapy student Drea, participants are invited to explore self-compassion using mixed media. By playful art journaling and mindfulness exercises, we will practice shifting the way we relate to ourselves with greater kindness.

Through art making and storytelling, participants can build practical tools for self-acceptance and self-love. No artistic experience is needed. All levels of art-makers are welcome.

I believe everyone is an artist, and that the process matters more than the final result. Using shapes, colours, and images can help bring out buried thoughts and feelings. I aim to create a supportive space for people who have been marginalized because of their identities or life experiences. I have worked with children, youth, older adults, and people from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
