When first published in 1725, nobody could imagine that Vivaldi’s Four Seasons would become some of the most frequently-heard music of all time. This program frames the iconic concertos in a new light, inviting questions about the fleeting cyclical nature of our existence, our relationship with nature, and the eternal renewal of earth’s cycles, now being modified by climate change.
