An introduction to the relationship between theology and culture. We will consider the impact of culture on theology, and how theological ideas and themes can be found in culture (for instance in works of visual art).
The course will cover the ideas and influence of prominent theologians as well as the debates and controversies.
We will also consider how theological themes have been explored in the creative arts, and how the creative arts can themselves be ways of doing theology.
