Theatre Lab 2023 - Class #2 of 7: Movement & Body Awareness

Punjabi Arts Association proudly presents - The Punjabi Arts THEATRE LAB - Acting Masterclass Series with Sarabjeet Singh Arora and Jagvinder Judge. Learn about the world of acting and stage. You can enroll in each of the following classes separately. At least 5 of the 6 classes are necessary to attend in order to get performance opportunity and certificates.

SCHEDULE:

Class 1 – Basics of Acting (June 3)

Class 2 – Movement & Body Awareness (June 18th)

Class 3 - Voice Modulations/Levels (July 8th)

Class 4 – Theatre Tour (July 15th)

Class 5 - Character Development (July 22th)

Class 6 – Improvisation & Audition Ethics (July 29th)

Class 7 – Performance and Feedback (August 12th)

This informative series will offer techniques and insights into the world of acting with kicking off our first session about 'The Basics of Acting' and then advancing into other facets of stage acting including 'Space Movement' ,'Body and Voice' exercises and learning on how to use these tools to develop characters. Additionally, our fun- filled 'Improvisation' session that would help you manage those nerves for auditions and provide few tips and tricks for your next one.

The series is spread over seven sessions leading up to opportunities to learn behind the scenes on one of our upcoming productions and also perform in front of the local theatre community here in GTA and theatre veterans. The masterclass is open to both new actors and experienced actors who want to refresh their knowledge base. We aim to provide you a platform to learn and help you getting started with your acting journey.

Suggested price is $10 but you can pay whatever you are able to.

TIME DISCIPLINE: :

Strict time discipline in effect. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes earlier to avoid being late. If you are unable to reach at 10:30 AM, please skip the class. We welcome you to attend another session.
