About this Event
In this two-part Theatre Director's workshop, you'll learn how to prepare your show from picking out your script to working effectively with your performers. These workshops are for emerging directors, writers, actors and designers who want to better their craft by learning what the director's process is, and established directors who are curious about new tools to add to their toolkit.
Intro to Theatre Directing with Louisa Phung will give you the bones of what you need to think about when starting your directing practice. From breaking down a script, incorporating ideas, collaboration, rehearsals, to opening night, Louisa will walk you through key points to prepare you for your directing adventure.
Directing Actors with Raugi Yu will teach you how to listen to actors so that you can speak to them effectively, helping them to craft performances that complete the vision of your show.
