About this Event
This event is a one-day symposium that will feature a number of fascinating papers examining the lives and work of Susan and Elizabeth Yeats.
Morning Session:
‘The making of beautiful things': from William and May Morris to Susan and Elizabeth Yeats

Afternoon session
Two separate events
Workshop with the Irish Guild of Embroiderers:
An introductory one-hour workshop hosted by the Irish Guild of Embroiderers exploring the approach and style of Susan Yeats.
or
A guided walking tour of the Yeats’ life in Churchtown/Dundrum with local historian and in collaboration with dlr Dundrum Library and the Church of Ireland Taney parish.
Early researchers’ platform:
‘"The education of the work-girls": Evaluating Dún Emer’s educational objective through the literary and visual material of Leabhar Dún Éimire.’
