The Ybor City Dwelling Album: Photos From the Great Depression

A recently digitized album of photos sheds light on the city’s early Slum Clearance efforts decades before they were known as Urban Renewal. In the online Ybor City Dwelling Album, USF librarians have curated the photos as part of an interactive map. There, viewers can explore the images and other digitized archival documents for further research. Photographer Chip Weiner generously provided contemporary images of the sites, allowing viewers to see Ybor City “then and now” as never before.
