The WS Sports Law Conference
About this Event
Scotland's Big Year of Sport
The WS Sports Law Conference returns on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
We are delighted to welcome back some of the sport sector's most respected legal and governance leaders to the Signet Library in Edinburgh for this popular event in the Society's education programme.
Join, among others, Gill Treasurer, Director of Legal and Governance at The British & Irish Lions, and Angela McCracken, Head of Legal for the Commonwealth Games 2026, as they reflect on a landmark year for Scottish sport.
Through a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions, speakers will examine the legal, governance and commercial issues arising from major sporting events, offering practical insights into event delivery, stakeholder management and the evolving regulatory landscape. The programme will also consider the opportunities and challenges facing Scottish sport as the sector looks beyond 2026.
The conference is a must-attend for legal professionals, academics, and stakeholders passionate about the legal integrity of sport.
