About this Event
We are proud to introduce The Write Stuff, a new series at Barnes & Noble Philadelphia created for aspiring authors looking to learn more about navigating the route from writing to publication. The Write Stuff provides advice for writers on a wide range of topics, including general writing tips, writing for various genres, finding an agent and getting your work published.
In this installment of The Write Stuff, memoirists Jiordan Castle, Athena Dixon, and Molly Roden Winter share tips and tricks for aspiring memoir writers, followed by a Q&A from the audience.

For Seated Tickets: Limited quantity is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchase of a ticket guarantees entrance to the event for the discussion and signing. However, this ticket may not necessarily guarantee a seat at the event, as later arrivals may be placed in a line behind the seated audience.
For Standing Room-Only Tickets: Limited quantity is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchase of a ticket guarantees entrance to the event for the discussion and signing. Ticket holders will be granted a standing view from behind the seated audience -- some views may be more limited/obstructed than others.
- Please arrive on time according to your ticket in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to enter the event space.
- The exact time at which the event ends will be determined on the day. To avoid disappointment, we strongly advise you to arrive on time for the event.

About Jiordan Castle
Jiordan Castle is the author of Disappearing Act, a memoir in verse. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The Rumpus, The Millions, and elsewhere. Originally from New York, she has an MFA in Poetry from Hunter College and lives in Philadelphia.
About Athena Dixon
Athena Dixon is the author of essay collections The Incredible Shrinking Woman and The Loneliness Files and her work appears in publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Shenandoah, Grub Street, Narratively, and Lit Hub among others. She is a Consulting Editor for Fourth Genre and the Nonfiction/Hybrid Editor for Split/Lip Press.
About Molly Roden Winter
Molly Roden Winter is the author of the New York Times bestseller, MORE: A Memoir of Open Marriage. Her essays have appeared in Time, The Cut, Romper, and elsewhere. She lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
