In-Person Time: 5-9PM (CST) - arrive as early as 5 PM to take part in all activities!

You’re invited to join the Center for Healthy Minds for our 15th Anniversary stewardship event The World We Make 2024, at the Wisconsin Masonic Center on September 26! This year for in-person guests, we’re breaking the boundaries of the traditional lecture style presentation, and offering a very special interactive journey through the programs and people of the Healthy Minds community!

5-6:30 PM

Journey through the building for hands-on, immersive experiences centered around the programs and science of the Healthy Minds community. Experiences will include: "The Learning Lab" hosted by Healthy Minds Innovations, "Exploring Deep Resilience," hosted by The Loka Initiative and "Arts for Healthy Minds" highlighting recent creative arts research grant recipients. There will also be workshop and practice opportunities and a "Meet the Scholars" scavenger hunt.

*Special add-on: "Rhythms in Community" Movement Workshop: Explore the everyday rhythms of life through movement and mindfulness during this 45 minute workshop led by CHM post-doc Lily Smith and dancer Katherine Kraemer. (Runs: 5-5:45 PM, Limit: 30)

7-8 PM

The World We Make 2024 featured event will include a compelling discussion between Dr. Richard J. Davidson and Dr. Yuria Celidwen, senior fellow at the Othering and Belonging Institute at UC-Berkeley, moderated by Steve Paulson of Wisconsin Public Radio's To The Best of Our Knowledge.

The featured event will be available via livestream.

8-9 PM

The celebration will conclude with a reception catered by Kavanaugh's supper club.
