Rose Dugdale was born into a life of wealth and privilege in 1940s England. She abandoned her life as an Oxford-trained PhD and heiress to join the cause of Irish Republicanism and went on to become the only woman in history to pull off a major art heist. Join us as we welcome back Anthony M. Amore and learn more about this extraordinary woman from his book, "The Woman Who Stole Vermeer."
Anthony M. Amore is the Director of Security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and serves as its investigator into the 1990 heist of thirteen stolen masterpieces—the largest theft in history. In this lecture, he dives into one of the most famous art heists to date.
