Stage Aurora Theatrical Company Inc. presents The Wiz TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences). The Wiz TYA is a 75-minute, family-friendly adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical tailored specifically for youth performers and audiences. In this production, young actors showcase their talents with singing, choreography, and a message of empowerment.
Dorothy’s adventures in the Land of Oz are set to a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel, and soul music. As Dorothy travels down the Yellow Brick Road, she meets a Scarecrow searching for a brain, a Tinman longing for a heart, and a Lion hoping to find courage. Together, they journey toward Emerald City to seek help from the mysterious Wiz. Bursting with soul, gospel, funk, and dance, The Wiz TYA celebrates friendship, self-discovery, and community.
Performance takes place at FSCJ Kent Campus Auditorium in Jacksonville, FL. Ticket proceeds support youth arts education.
