📖The Wittliff Book+ Club🏛 Please join us and other life long learners on Thursday, October 2nd at 2 pm, to discuss "I Know About a Thousand Things: The Writings of Ann Alejandro of Uvalde, Texas", edited by Naomi Shihab Nye and Marion Winik.
🖨 Ann was a prolific writer using letters as her vehicle, which “blended observation, storytelling, humor, praise, and accounts of her deep attachment to the land and animals that surrounded her in the rural Southwest” (Texas A&M University Press). Ann never sought to publish her writings, so her good friends – the editors of this book – reviewed thousands of pages of her correspondence and selected the very best of Ann’s work.
📆WHEN: Oct. 2nd at 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
📍WHERE: The PHPL Memory Lab on the 2nd Floor
📚The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University is home to an extraordinary collection of rare and unique treasures reflecting the works of writers, photographers, musicians, filmmakers, and other artists. Each session of the Wittliff Book+ Club will have two segments: first, Wittliff staff will showcase archival material related to the session's book; second, participants will discuss the book. This program is in collaboration with the Life Long Learning in San Marcos, Texas!
