It’s the early 1600s and England is in the grip of witch-hunting mania and fear rules the land. Neighbours and families turn on each other and no one is safe. Who can you trust?
A mysterious woman has been accused of witchcraft and she is awaiting trial in the castle dungeon. Hear the townspeople’s stories and experience the events leading up to her arrest…
Follow the gate keeper through the atmospheric medieval castle and immerse yourself in the story. You will watch scenes unfold in each room and have the opportunity to participate in this interactive performance.
Will the prisoner be found innocent or guilty? Will this night in the castle be her last? Her fate is in your hands!
This immersive experience is brought to you by Murder by Appointment, the acclaimed company behind sold out Tamworth events including ‘Wandering Spirits’ and ‘A Mercian Murder’.
Admission times: 18.00, 18.30, 19.00, 19.30, 20.00. Performances take place every 30 minutes and last between 60 and 90 minutes. Please be aware that the castle will have dim lighting. Flat shoes and warm clothing are advised. Due to steep stairways and narrow corridors, this event is not suitable for those with mobility issues.
