The Wining Goat: Wine & Goat Cheese Pairing
About this Event
We're highlighting local wines and local goat cheese at our newest pairing event! Laurentia Winery will be presenting 4 of their wines, paired with Mackenzie Creamery's spread of artisan goat cheese.
This will be an informative, interactive guided tasting in our Loft event space. We are welcoming winemaker Emmett Reed from Laurentia, and Shannon from Mackenzie Creamery for guests to engage and ask questions! Each wine will be expertly paired with a specific goat cheese and crostinis.
Introducing our co-hosts:
Laurentia Vineyard & Winery was created by two brothers, born and raised in Northeast Ohio. They were wine enthusiasts who enjoyed meeting once a year for an elk hunt in the Idaho wilderness. They saw great potential in the Grand River Valley AVA and the rest is history. The Grand River Valley American Viticultural Area is located within 2 miles of the Grand River or 14 miles of the shoreline of Lake Erie. This area benefits from the moderating effects of Lake Erie.
Mackenzie Creamery produces all-natural, hand-crafted, artisan goat cheese from the finest ingredients. They source 100% hormone free goat milk from local farms to craft their award-winning chèvre. Their sustainable, eco-friendly facility is located in Hiram on 30 acres of beautiful farmland.
