ABOUT JULIE JOHNSON
Julie Johnson is a New England native and internationally bestselling author. When she's not writing, Julie can most often be found adding stamps to her passport, drinking too much coffee, and avoiding reality by disappearing between the pages of a book. She published her debut novel on a lark, just before her senior year of college, and she's never looked back. Since then, she has published twenty other novels, which have been translated into more than a dozen different languages and appeared on bestseller lists all over the world, including Der Spiegel, AdWeek, Publishers Weekly, USA Today, and more.

ABOUT THE WIND WEAVER
Melding vivid storytelling, expansive world-building and fresh magic system, and palpable enemies-to-lovers steam, the story follows Rhya, a halfling with a powerful ability to call forth the wind and one of the four souls fated to restore the balance of maegic. After the destruction of her home, she is forced to flee only to be captured and sentenced to death. When her execution is interrupted and she is captured by the ruthless and mercenary Commander Scythe, Rhya will find that nothing is as it seems—not her fearsome captor, not the war that ravages her dying realm, not even herself.

For Rhya is no ordinary halfling. The strange birthmark on her chest and the wind she instinctively calls forth means she is a Remnant, one of the four souls with elemental magic fated to restore the balance of maegic. It’s been nearly a century since the last Wind Weaver was known, and there are forces who will do anything to stop the prophecy and take the Remnant’s power for themselves.

Now in a strange land, Rhya must navigate ruthless court politics and her newfound powers, all while contending with an unwanted prophecy and a forbidden desire for a man she cannot trust.

She much prefers writing romance. If you can't find her online, it's because she's lost in the woods.
