About this Event

Part of a series of events taking place over the weekend of 25/26 July. There will be folk performances, fabric art, singing and our literary event. Check out @art_rovers for more info.

The Wind in Their Sails looks between the sheets, following the threads and re-stitching the narratives of women’s domestic crafts, histories and myths. Up at the old windmill in Rottingdean, we will be breathing the wind back into her sails with an exhibition of textile arts and live, original literature. From the domestic to the divine, this is a celebration of female resilience. Her skirts will billow.

The event will include poetry readings, short stories and a micro lecture. You wil also have plenty of time to peruse the fabric art on display at the windmill. For info on the literary event contact @mcporterwriter
