Homegrown in the rich music scene of Virginia, The Wilson Springs Hotel is a band brought together under a multi-genre flag - a high-energy folk band committed to rock & roll and classic country. After forming in 2021,Jacob Ritter (guitar/songwriter/lead vocals), Victor McManus (lead guitar), Brendan Boylan (fiddle), Stephan La Rue (drums) and Andrew Carper (bass),released two albums in quick succession and have released a handful of new singles in 2024, while spending 2025 writing and recording for future releases. Their single “Pulling Weeds”, explores the struggle with repetitive mental loops, like attempting to get nutrients out of the same spent garden. The newer songs are still a sonic split between a more timeless classic country sound, but with even more of a driving rock vibe, showing that the band remains unwilling to conform to a single genre, and instead celebrates the many influences that brought them where they are today.

Bringing the soul from Greensboro, North Carolina, Ranford Almond is a youngsinger/songwriter and troubadour that has begun to make his mark across the Southeast. Raspy fresh vocals meet the Appalachian strings of Ranford’s guitar, reminiscent of John Prine and Townes Van Zandt with his own unique stamp. Furthermore, his talent extends far beyond composition and acoustic picking, as he is a warrior on the electric as well. Ranford plays as a solo artist and leads a full band.

Ranford Almond’s forthcoming full length debut Old Soul is due to arrive in 2023, and demonstrates the evolution of Almond’s ability as he grows as both a writer, arranger, and player. The album, recorded at Ovation Sound, will feature a litany of nationally recognized guests, as well as the tutelage of its producer, Bill Stevens.
