Celebration Theatre Company invites you to an evening of decadence and intrigue in Prohibition-era New York.
About this Event

Celebration Theatre Company continues its sixth season with Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY.

"Some love is fire: some love is rust: But the fiercest, cleanest love is lust." In 1920s New York, lovers Queenie and Burrs decide to throw the party to end all parties. After the colorful arrival of a slew of guests living life on the edge, Queenie's wandering eyes land on a striking man named Black. As the decadence reaches a climax, so does Burrs's jealousy, which erupts and sends him into a violent rage. Gun in hand and inhibitions abandoned, Burrs turns on Queenie and Black. The gun fires, but who has been shot?

Based on Joseph Moncure March's 1926 narrative poem of the same name, this darkly brilliant show features one of the most exciting, pulse-racing scores of the last 25 years.

Directed and produced by Russell Stephens, THE WILD PARTY features choreography by Sarah Ruth Joyner and musical direction by Heather Langs.

THE WILD PARTY is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com
