Maybe the defining film of Peckinpah’s career, THE WILD BUNCH ushered in a new era in the western genre and American cinema in general. With Peckinpah’s trademark gritty violence, THE WILD BUNCH focuses on a group of outlaws in the final years of the untamed west. On the run from the law, the gang is pursued on the Texas-Mexico border before getting caught up in regional conflicts.
