Detroit MI – Back by popular demand powerhouse vocalist Nina Simone Neal takes the stage once more to honor one of the greatest voices in music history—Whitney Houston. Presented by The Preservation of Jazz this Fall Kickoff Celebration invites Detroit to come together for a soul-stirring night of music memories and magic on Monday September 22 2025 at Aretha’s Jazz Café.
After her unforgettable portrayal of Whitney Houston in the Soul Diva Tour Nina returns backed by her sensational band InnaZone led by her husband Terrance Neal on drums. Their synergy passion and raw musical power make this tribute more than a performance—it’s an experience.
Adding to the excitement the show will open with a special performance by rising star Jailyn Simone Nina’s daughter who brings her own powerful presence and vocal gift to the stage. The evening will be hosted by the charismatic and beloved Mike Bonner whose charm and wit will guide the audience through this unforgettable journey.
